Forum Status Summary

This is a quick summary of the long discussion going on at the main thread

If you want your section updated (if your a mod) just update the post to accommodate the changes, (if not a mod), them message a mod or post on this thread and we will update it for you
If your not on this list and want to be on it, post on this thread and i will add you to the OP with your intentions. Regulars users count too.

If you see something that you want to discuss, revert back to the other thread linked. Not this thread. This thread is solely to create a summary and thats it.

  • forum is up and running and ready to receive users python-forum.io
  • server, domain, and host access have been given to all admins (admins section on new forum)

  • perfers old style forum like phpBB/MyBB

  • is up for moving to a new place.
  • Style-wise prefers MyBB.
  • wouldn't mind losing the current posts.
  • is not really busy these days at work and want's to help out if possible.

Some of the other stats that we all seem to agree on is...
  • waiting for Sept 12 to declare winner (domain and forum software)
  • the forum software must be free
  • The hosting should not be at some joe schmoes house but a proper host
  • Most of us would like to get the database retained if at all possible, but the fact of not getting the database retained does not mean they wont move to a new forum
  • For the majority we all seem OK on moving and shutting this forum down to halt it.
