Controlling mouse position and clicks

Postby atxpython » Wed Sep 14, 2016 12:49 am

Hello,

I need to find a way to automate some tasks that are performed within a piece of software.
I was thinking that the easiest way to handle this is to control the users mouse x/y position.

There are some text boxes where the user will need to input data, and a few buttons to click here and there.
If I could load that text data in using variables defined in my script, as well as click the various buttons based on their location on the screen, that would be ideal.

I did some research but couldnt find much information as to a built-in or third party library that would help with this.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help!

Yea! This is so powerful tool. You can take a picture of a button on any program, web interface or whatever it have to be clicked and pyautogui will find it on the screen if it is there and click it right in the center :)
