Update: It seems that installing
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install python-pandas python-pandas-lib

fix the problem
Code: Select all
$ python
Python 2.7.5+ (default, Sep 17 2013, 15:31:50)
[GCC 4.8.1] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import pandas as pd
>>>

When I try to read csv file by following code

Code: Select all
import pandas as pd

The execution of python throws ImportError: C extensions not built: if you installed already verify that you are not importing from the source directory

Code: Select all

>>> import pandas as pd
No module named lib

    raise ImportError('C extensions not built: if you installed already '
ImportError: C extensions not built: if you installed already verify that you are not importing from the source directory
