looking for PyQT4 tutorials

Postby metulburr » Sat Jul 27, 2013 12:49 am

Does anyone know pyqt4 tutorials?

all i know of is
which is very limited in "tutorial-wise"

and this qt designer:
which i really dont understand the concept of using an app to make an app? Im thinking of just writing code like any other. Why would i want to use an GUI app to make a GUI app. I dont get it.

and of course the docs
but that doesnt really help as of tutorial-wise

other than that, all i find is fullcode. there seems to be a lack of tutorials
we will be moving to python-forum.io on October 1 2016

The PyQt docs are where to start - http://pyqt.sourceforge.net/Docs/PyQt4/

In addition to the aforementioned links, here are a couple more tutorials:

http://www.dreamincode.net/forums/topic ... l-notepad/

You might also want to look at PySide, a more open source version of PyQt. They have tutorials here: http://qt-project.org/wiki/PySide_Tutorials

Most of their code can be used interchangeably with PyQt so if you learn one, you can do the other with only a slight change in your imports.
