a feature request: "like"

Postby ochichinyezaboombwa » Sat Mar 21, 2015 7:44 pm

Hi guys,
long time no see... What's up? I was doing mainly Go in recent months.
So glad the forum is up and well! (and seems has returned to its original look-and-feel, am I mistaken?)

Anyways... it's a Facebook era now; how about a "like" button somewhere to up-vote especially interesting questions / answers?
(please up-vote this post if you like the idea by adding some reply, and then see how ugly it might get :-) ).

Cheers and thank you all!

How do you like Go? I've heard mixed things about it.

We're using phpBB, so it's not easy to add new features. Not to mention we'd need jkbbwr's assistance to deploy anything new. So as much as we'd all like a more modern feel, it's not in the cards.

I just started messing with go in the past few days. Seems interesting; I haven't come to any conclusions yet though.

I enjoyed this talk by one of the co-creators:
Concurrency is not Parallelism

Up until Mekire's post, I thought you guys were talking about the game.

Yeah. You pretty much have to call it golang if you want valid search results.
