default post text

Postby metulburr » Sat Jul 13, 2013 6:02 am

I just went to post on the cplusplus forums, and noticed they have default text when you (at least start a topic). Not sure if there is a plugin of which allows this or not on phpbb forums. Or if we end up making our own eventually, then we could whatever we want.

But the default ghost text was:
Write your question here.

{code]
Put the code you need help with here.
{/code]

(where i switch braces to display it). But that would solve the repetitive posts with no code tags, wouldn't you think? Or if not solve, dwindle down the amount. Plus we could add in traceback too.

The one problem is that it makes spamming that much easier...

When I Google "phpbb default post" nothing comes up. If you find the plugin, feel free to install it, or let an admin know if it takes that (I believe I'm an admin).

I thought we'd just need the ACP to install a mod, but I was wrong. It does indeed look like jkbbwr would need to do it.

from what i know regarding moderating other forums, is that someone who has access to the server files, must install all the mods, once installed we then can switch them on or off, or change whatever about them, but we cannot actually install them.
