Pycharm and Geany I believe are the most popular full-fledged IDEs, and Sublime Text is nice for minimalism (and maybe more; I've heard there are extensions that rock).

I've always used Sublime Text + a terminal window for Python. And I use bpython as my shell instead of the regular one or IPython which is similar.

You can Google it I'm sure, I've heard people rave about the extensions but my Sublime install is very vanilla.
