Spell scheking?

Postby wavic » Fri Sep 02, 2016 10:42 am

Hello!
Is the spell checking turned off. My English is not so good as I want and that helps me a lot. Last time something in the word "posibly" was making me worrry and was the missed second 's'.

Posibly , but it is turned on for me (thankfully :D ). The word posibly gets underlined in red and right clicking on it gives me several options, including the correct spelling "possibly". There are also times when spell checker will automatically correct the spelling.

I don't see anything in the User Control Panel that allows one to turn spell checking on or off, so I presume it's always on for everyone.

For me spell-checking is part of the browser side of things and there is nothing for it on the server side.

Hm! it's on Opera, which I am testing how it behaves right now.
It doesn't mark in any way a misspelled word.

So, in the context menu which I have used to see if it's on , it was. In the settings menu there were yellowish button to retry downloading of the dictionary. Which was not there obviously.
All is working now and I am happy. I didn't know that is browser side feature
