A friend of mine told me about this neat Linux thing: http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/what-is-d ... usage.html

Basically, it allows you to create things that look like files but are actually held in RAM, which can be much faster in some cases.
Due to the reasons discussed here we will be moving to python-forum.io on October 1, 2016.

Impressive, finally a use for all 32 GB of ram.
Python 2.7
Python 3.3
Windows 7 x64
Ubuntu 12.10 x64
One day I hope to use one OS and 1 Python flavor, until that day, life goes on.

Been doing something similar for years. It really does make a difference and it is actually guaranteed to be temporary.
