Hi everyone!

My name is Anne, I am a postdoctoral research fellow in biology in the UK.
In my work, I essentially work with pictures that I have to analyse using ImageJ. But more recently, I have started a project of literature text-mining and realised that Python will really help me in achieving what I intend to do.
So I got some books to get started, install Python and the game began!...
... And after a few days of trying more or less unsuccessfully, well, here I am! Hoping for some help...

Greetings, I am Jefren.
Having crashed windoze 7 rather permanently and installed linux, I have decided to return to the text based programming arena. Python seemed like a very good choice and is sucking me in quite effectively.
I am currently in the planning stages of a clone of the old dos game "Battles of Destiny", (still my favorite). I am an old pre-windoze database programmer, so I expect this will be a great deal of fun and learning.
